I've been having a recurring problem with WinXP.
After a while, shutting down becomes very difficult. XP says that it is
saving my personal settings & seems to get ready to shut down but never
does.
After a while, this leads to a restart that fails to load XP. I get to the
XP screen with the green loading bar but then the screen goes blank. I
managed to start the computer in safe mode & install some programs to sort
out the blank screen, but I have a feeling that it might recurr if I can's
shut XP down properly. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
Thanks
Sam
