Well, if it's such "crap", let's see you write something better.
Otherwise STFU.

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. you are not, however, entitled
to an audience.

XP is a good crappy product (unlike ME, which is a bad crappy product :)

Testy,

I am far from ignorant and I don't believe it was I who
started the personal attacks. I voiced my opinion of a
product that I feel is of poor quality. I am not the
first one in Microsoft's history to voice such sentiments
and I am sure I won't be the last. In the futre may I
suggest that you keep the personal attack for those who
attack you and not direct them to someone who has a right
to express their opinion. Wishing you a wonderful night
also.

Best Microsoft has had so far, haven't had on blue screen of death yet with
XP, can't say the same for previous versions!

Wow, isn't this the pot calling the kettle black? Complaining about someone
voicing their opinion about your opinion. Freedom of speech applies to
everyone, does it not?

Jason,

I wasn't comlaining about him voicing his opinion, if you
read the message, I just pointed out that one was an
opinion about a product that I feel is of poor quality
and the other a direct attack on the person.

I was simply pointing out that although my opinion maybe
harsh, Testy was voicing his opinion about who I am as a
person, which is uncalled for, as he has no idea who I am
or why I may have wrote what I did.

I am all for people voicing their opinions, however keep
it to the product at hand and refrain from making it
personal. Here is wishing you a wonderful day and a good
life.

Exactly!!! You offered no reasons for your opinion therefore making the
unsupported statement IGNORANT!

I expressed my frustration with a product that has cause
me to spend hours of time reconfiguring my computer as XP
does not, by their own design, support or recognize any
of the programs that ran under my previous window
platform. Could I have stated it better? yes I could
have, however at that moment I didn't offer the reasons
behind it as I was frustrated and that is what I was
feeling and still feel.

I posted my opinion of SOFTWARE PRODUCT, it would have
been different had I posted a message directed at you
specifically as you did <<And opinions are irrelevant
when the source (I can only assume you meant me) is
ignorant.>>

Ignorant is defined as - Destitute of knowledge or
education <an ignorant society>; resulting from or
showing lack of knowledge or intelligence <ignorant
errors>.

I don't believe I have displayed any of those qualities
mentioned above and no one's opinion, whether you view it
as ignorant or not, is irrelevant. I would be glad to
continue this trade of views for as long as you'd like,
however I don't think either of us will agree....why
don't we agree to disagree and leave it at that. Hope
you are having a wonderful day.

"as XP > does not, *by their own design*, support or recognize any

You mean Microsoft came to your home to what programs and hardware you
use so that they purposely design XP so that it won't work on your
machine??? Wow!! You must be special!

I support 6 XP machines for Friends and Family. And, other then Users
Errors, They give me no trouble at all. And these aren't computer
literate people. These are people that wil download and open anything.

David, I am glad things have worked so well for you and
the six computers you maintain. How ever not everyone
has had the same experience.

When I upgraded to XP, I was not made aware that most of
the software programs that ran on on my previous platform
(ME), including Microsoft Office 2000, would not run on
XP, hence I have had to apply patches, upload/download
new drivers, buy new software, and reload almost all of
my software programs that are no longer compatible under
XP. In disclaimers they (MS) have stated that many these
issues are by design.

I am sure that once I work with this version of winodws
more, get my computer reconfigured, reload my software
programs and bring stability back to my operating system
I will again be neither extremely satisfied or extremely
dis-satisfied with the windows platforms. thank you for
the message though, you input ia appreciated.

Hope you are having a wonderful day.

And you HAVE shown lack of knowledge. If you are having problems why not
state them so you can LEARN how to overcome them,
