I actually found something that is crappier than vista!

I never thought something could be worse from a big company.. but I found
something that is actually worse than vista... and that means its crappier
than crappy!

The adobe CS3 installers! Chose whatever CS3 product you want. photoshop,
flash, dreamweaver ... the installer is crappy...

Perhaps they borrowed a developer from Vista to make the CS3 installer?
Could be! Because such talent in crap is very rare!

Dont believe me... google "cs3 installer" and you will see what a nightmare
it is!
Plus its slow..... slow......... slowwwwwww

But wait.. there IS something worse.. using a CS3 installer on Vista! lol...

Use a gas mask if you want to breath!

It's now very obvious from your postings that you're a newbie at this
and have no idea what you're doing!
Adobe CS3 Master Collection runs just fine on all 9 of our Vista
Ultimate x32 & x64 boxes.
But don't give up...in a couple of years you might...just might, have a
clue about what you're doing...maybe!

Oh, you mean try and find all the other idiots like you who don't have
clue about what they're doing by using google?
Why, you're here, right?
Sorry loser, I'll leave finding others imbeciles like you up to you.

And... posting a message with the subject line of "I actually found
something that is crappier than vista!" in the vista.general ng doesn't
make -you- a troll? Hmm...

The problems stem from not removing the beta versions first.. is that what
happened to you? Presumably, you took the advice given, and now you have no
problems with Adobe CS3?

Yes... the problem exists I had no trials installed at the time.

But this same problem occurs even without trials...
I have encountered it on another computer also with no trials.

This does not happen always on the first install...

It may happen when you try to repair an install.. it keeps asking for the
installation cd... but in fact its asking to find the location of the files
you first installed it from...

I tried moving the installer files to various locations trying to remember
where I had installed from.. and after some time I got it..

however this trial and error process took time because you have to engage in
the install for it to fail so you can see that the location is wrong....

Basically its as crappy as vista is... how could such big errors slip
through to a final product?

Yeah I know as an MVP you worship vista..... the mvps that dislike vista
are not talking publicly.

Good for them to hide..... but I am not an MVP (thank god) and I can tell
people how crappy vista is all day.

As an MVP, I do not worship Vista.. I come here to try to help Vista users
to get the most out of it.. Vista will get better as time goes on, so what
plans do you have to fill up your time at that point?

Industry is always slow to take up new technology of any kind.. where
mission critical operations are presently running well, there is resistance
to change, so much that some are still using Windows 2000.. nothing new
here..

Some want change, but when change comes, they don't like it.. it isn't
always the right kind of change.. an OS relies on other 3rd party companies
playing ball too, and some haven't or won't..

Coming into here trolling helps nobody.. you should spend time with CS3 now
that you have it all running..

I've been having problems with the installer for CS3 Design Premium as well,
and I have been using Adobe software for years, and I know quite a bit about
computers.

Industry is always slow to take up new technology of any kind...

Really? Which industries and what technologies are you referring to?

where mission critical operations are presently running well, there is
resistance to change,

Read the above again. So why people want to change? Contribute hard earned
money to MS and its shareholders so MVP's like you won't criticize people
for not changing things that are perfectly working well?
Some want change, but when change comes, they don't like it.

I concur that and the only way we can make you happy is to change our
processes and workflows to match those designed by nerds in MS labs and
endorsed by techies like you who don't have ideas about what are processes
and workflows?
As an MVP, I do not worship Vista..

There are still companies running Win 2000 because it works for them..

Some like change for changes sake, and some like to have the latest, and
some do not like change because they are used to what they have already..

Contributing to MS and its shareholders is no different to contributing to
GM and its shareholders..

I do not personally criticize others for not wanting to change..

Many MVPs work in the industry, as I have done, and not all are happy with
Vista, just as all were not too happy with XP at one time..

There is a maxim.. if it ain't broke, don't fix it.. nobody should change if
the change does not do all that is required.. when introducing new
technology, it should always be run alongside the old to ensure that it at
least manages the same level of performance..

Your insults do you no favours.. personally, I don't care what you do.. I am
here solely to help people who want Vista to work for them..

You just changed your tone and you could have avoided all these without
those generalized accusations.

So if you are not worshiping Vista, why did you say those and you simply
didn't answer any of those questions.

If you help, do help and save all those BS and don't think you know
everything.

I made no generalized accusations, and I haven't changed my tone..

You need to take reading comprehension class..
