XP install on Intel Santa Rosa chipset PC

I'm trying to install XP on a new Panasonic laptop (Y7A) with Intel Core 2 Duo
L7300 CPU...

When install in XP (pro) ... setup can't see the Hard Disk... so I can't
install
(When installing vista it has no problems)

Maybe it has a sata hd wich requires you to install sata/raid drivers from
floppy, using the F6 option early in the process.

Presumably this new laptop was supplied with Vista, that being the case you
should first check at Panasonic that winxp drivers are available - they may
not be. Also installing a different o/s may invalidate any warranty /
support
