I get the following error : "setup cannot copy the file
driver.cab" when I install XP home upgrade to clean
reformatted partition.

How would I get past this without selecting "skiip this
file"? Or is it ok to skip this file?

Thanks for any help.

Check your Windows XP CD for fingerprints, smudges or scratches.
If necessary, clean it with a mild household cleaner and a soft cloth.
It is not "OK to skip files" during installation.
