XP Instalation Issues

When I try to install Windows XP Home I get a blocking
issue that tells me Microsoft Shared Fax Client needs to
be uninstalled from the Add/Remove Programs in Control
Panel. I have looked all through the PC and cannot find
any reference to any type of fax programs. Regedit,
Sysedit, MSconfig cannot find any fax. I am currently
running Windows ME and am trying to avoid having to fdisk
the Hard Drive As I have too much data on the disk. Any
suggestion will be appreciated.
 
Steve, look in Add/Remove Programs. There should be Add/Remove Windows
Components Icon. Click on it and see
if the Fax entry is checked. If yes, Remove the Components.
