Hi my xp home computer has now twice turned off most services. Is there a
spyware or virus causing this. I have scaned with spybot and have norton's
virus protection.

what do you mean it "turns off most services"?

What happens is that most of the services are set to disable and I have to
reenable the services so that they will work again. When you boot up and log
into the box it looks fine but if you try to go to the internet your network
services are all set to disable so you don't get out the internet. The plug
and play service is disabled and all management services are disabled so
again you have to reset all of this services to the automatic start up
position.
