XP Home vs XP Pro

I have a few quick (I hope) questions regarding XP Home. I am very familiar with XP Pro, but have never used XP Home.

1) Does XP Home allow for any sort of file/folder permissions when NTFS is implemented? I am interested in protecting my personal files from guests who use my PC.

2) How are the user profiles stored when compared to XP Pro? (In XP Pro each user has their own Profile folder that contains all of their data... my documents, etc...) Does XP Home separate the users the same way?

3) Can somebody describe the different levels of privileges each account can be assigned? (For example: in XP Pro you can create users who are standard, restricted, or "other" [other allows you to select from a list of privileges]).

Thank you

-Jake

1 and 2 are the same in Home and Pro. While the more advanced security
settings are not readily apparent in Home, you can boot to Safe Mode to
access the Security/Permission pages found in a folder or file's properties
sheets.

3: You get Limited and Administrator groups for your users, period.

Thanks for the quick reply!

It provides just the level of 'Simple File Sharing' control that you
have when that is enabled in Pro (the default). Each user's personal
Documents are restricted to him (though administrators can always get
round that)

Same way

Just two levels: Admin status, and 'limited' which about equals
restricted - plus Guest
