i bought a newer computer which
has xp home installed .
i would like to install xp pro which
i have my original disk for .
could someone tell me how i might
go about accomplishing this ?

If the XP Pro disk is a retail (not OEM) version you can either do an
upgrade-in-place which will preserve your data and applications or a full
clean install. If you choose the former, be smart and back up your data
first because Stuff Happens.
