is there any way to access the server from an XP machine
except as a Guest? We have users set up on the server,
and prior to installing XP, the users had private folders
which they can no longer access because when accessing the
network they are not showing up as logged on as
themselves. I am having them use their previous user
names and passwords, but the server only sees them as
Owner. I am reluctant to open the folders to the guest
account, since that would give everyone access to their
private files. Any ideas? Everything I have been reading
says that XP always uses the guest account when logging
onto a network. Is this the case for XP Home and Pro? Or
just Home? If it is both, I am not impressed.
