Hi Rick,
Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your letting me know i
doesn't work like in does in Windows 98.

Would you know if that boot up floppy that I made would work if I pu
the Ghost file on it, in order to ghost a copy of the XP Harddrive?
(It works in dos)

I had to do this with my Windows 98 computer because for some reaso
Ghost couldn't detect the ms-dos.

Thank you.

Sincerely, Libra
Hi Libra,

No, it won't work like you are thinking it will. A dos boot floppy i
useful
for flashing the BIOS, but cannot be used to access the NTFS drive
Recovery
operations in WinXP are accomplished by booting the XP CD and loadin
the
Recovery Console.

Hi,
I made an ms-dos start-up disk and the file system says "FAT" but
when I right-click my C drive in My Computer it says NTFS. Is this
normal? Will this start up disk work if I need it?

Thank you.

Hi,

No idea, as I don't use any Symantec products anymore. I *think* it depends
on the version you are using, you might check at http://support.symantec.com
