Hi,
I made an ms-dos start-up disk and the file system says "FAT" bu
when I right-click my C drive in My Computer it says NTFS. Is thi
normal? Will this start up disk work if I need it?

Thank you.

Hi Libra,

No, it won't work like you are thinking it will. A dos boot floppy is useful
for flashing the BIOS, but cannot be used to access the NTFS drive. Recovery
operations in WinXP are accomplished by booting the XP CD and loading the
Recovery Console.
