XP Home - chatroom access

As a new user of XP home I tried to access a chatroom I
use and found the aplet would not load.
I checked my 'Internet Options' against those on my other
computer which still uses windows 98, going to
the 'Advanced' tab because taht was where I had seen Java
mentioned.
There was no mention of Java under the 'Advanced' tab but
I tracked down a modified wording of it under 'Security'
Java was ticked as 'enable'.
I still can't get the chatroom aplet to load, and am out
of ideas.
All help and suggestions would be gratefully received.

If it is Java you are needing then you will need to go to this link and
download it for because of legal issues Microsoft is having they no longer
offer a Java applet with there operating systems.
