Hi
I have 5 computers in the local network and they are all connected to
the internet via a single cable connection. The setup is as follows:
CABLE MODEM --> 4 PORT LINKSYS ROUTER --> DLINK WIRELESS ACCESS POINT
(192.168.2.1) (192.168.2.2)
The linksys routers hosts 2 wired computer and the access point hosts
3 wireless computers. All the computers connect to the LAN without a
problem. They can see and access all the shares. One of the wireless
computers cannot get to the internet. PING, TRACERT, HTTP, nothing
works. DHCP is disabled and the values that are used are:
IP: 192.168.2.153
GATEWAY: 192.168.2.1
DNS: 192.168.2.1
These values work for the other 2 wireless computers (different IP of
course) so i do not see what the problem can be. I think its
something with windows XP. I am going to try and reinstall XP on top
of itself to see if that will fix the problem but i would rather not
so if someone has any idea on how to fix this that would be great.
Thank you.
