Windows XP Wireless Zero Configuration Utility problem

K

KA6UUP

I have three computers.
One is connected to the internet through a Linksys wireless router via a
LAN cable.
The other two are connected via Linksys wireless adapters.
All are 802.11g
I am trying to set up a bridge network.
When my computers, using wireless adapters, are using the Linksys
network monitor everything is fine but when I change over to the Windows
XP Wireless Zero Configuration Utility it cannot obtain an ip address
from the wireless router.
Can anyone help or refer me to sources that can
Thanks
Chuck

Whenever you use the wireless adapter "included" control program, this
usually starts up a service just for that particular program.
Unfortuneately, this service is not "usually" compatible with the
Windows Zero Configuration system and must be disabled/stopped in
order for WZC to work.

Right Click on My Computer and Selec "Manage". Scroll down to
"Services and Applications." Duoble-Click on Services and look for
any Linksys service. Stop the Linksys service and "test" WZC. If it
"seems" to work, you can then disable the Linksys service.
