wireless utility unables wireless network tab

hi from Spain,

i recently installed a wireless usb adapter from conceptronic (C54RU) on a
windows xp pro servicepack 3 and there's no way to install the drivers
without installing a wireless configuration utility (i looked up in
conceptronic's web page). The problem with this utility is that disables the
"wireless network" tab of the properties box of my "wireless network
connection", so i can not specify to "use windows to configure my wireless
network settings" and cannot view wireless networks throug windows nor
configure my preferred networks. So i've to do it through the wireless
utility of conceptronic which doesn't detect the wireless network (the
signal is not excellent) but windows yes it does. The only way i have to
specify windows is remove the utility and with the first installation i can
specify to use windows to configure wireless network settings. As soon as i
restart the computer and even not allowing the wireless utility to startup
the configuration switches to the one specified by conceptronic, so i can
not even see the wireless network throug the windows interface.
Is there any registry key i can modify? What can i do?

The "manufacturer" wireless configuration utilities will usually turn
off the Windows "Wireless Zero Configuration" tool as soon as the
utility starts. Turn off the tool, disable it from automatically
starting (from StartUp or Services) and turn on the "Wireless Zero
Configuration" service.
