NetGear Wireless adapter install question

I work with a large technical support desk and part of our work involves
installing printer drivers using the add hardware wizard in Windows and
locating a .inf file located in our program directory. I was wondering if
it was possible to use the same basi process to install the Net Gear
wireless adapter driver so that after installing just the driver, we can use
the wireless zero configuration in Windows to complete the network setup
process. Using Net Gears installation is cumbersom and forces the user to
install software that is unneeded and unwanted making configuring the
network a nightmare. I would like your thoughts.

Yes it is possible to install the drivers only for your device. What you
have to do is as follows:

1) Connect your device to your system;
2) Windows will prompt you that a new hardware has been found. It allows
you to browse removable disks etc.
3) Insert the CD in the drive. When it autoruns, CANCEL it.
4) Windows will search it for the drivers for your device.

The alternative is to browse the CD manually with Windows Explorer and copy
everything under Drivers folders to your temp folder on the HD. Then let
windows search for the necessary drivers in the temp folder only.
