XP Home Admin Log-in proble?

Hi,
Windows did an auto-update and then rebotted to the log in screen (I did
not use this in the past as I set it up initially to start directly to
Windows as I am the only user).

Problem is - I have never changed (Or Used) the hidden Administrator log
in ....
The opening screen says log in by clkicking on user account ...but there is
none listed ...

I thne did the ctrl-alt-delete twice ... brought up the log on screen
and it will not acknowledge the Administrator log in. (I tried both blank
(no password) and Administrator as the password ... no joy.

It says "cannot recognize user name or domain" .... any ideas?

If you run an XP "Upgrade"setup, from the original, or "Gold" version of the setup CD, and you have SP2 installed, it might go into
a setup loop, and you could lose your install. Uninstall SP2, BEFORE you Upgrade setup from CD (that lacks sp2 on it.)
