XP Help&Support Center: date won't refresh anymore

XPsp2 Start menu | Help&Support Center app | Main page

Date under 'Did you know?' tip does not refresh anymore,
I used to click on the 'house' icon to reload page and
show current date but that doesn't work anymore, it shows
now Sept. 10 2004 it seems to be 'stucked' in date. How
correct this. Thanks
 
Try this...
Close Help & Support Center, delete the file
C:\WINDOWS\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Config\News\newsver.xml
Restart Help & Support center. Worked to reset my current "Did you know"
message. I read this in some on-line Windows tips-and-tricks page, but
can't recall the site. Hope it works for you.
