XP Help Function does not work

Don't know what happened, or how to fix it, but the "HELP" function in
Start menu does not work. The "Search Results" screen pops up, but when
an entry to search is entered it does nothing; then when I go to close
the screen I get "Program not responding" pop-up. If anyone can help,
I'd appreciate it.

A Repair Installation of Windows should fix it.
