Xp Freezing Randomly

My Computer has been freezing randomly for a while now and im not sure why...
It happens at the most random times and when it happens everything im doing
locks up including my pointer and Ctrl+Alt+Delete and any other hotkeys don't
work I know it isn't a virus because i have reformatted 3 times already to
try and get rid of it and it hasn't changed a thing I would really like some
help i know it's not much to go on but thats all i can tell ya if you need
more info just ask and ill post it

probaby a heat issue!!

check fans-coolers....and see if there is too much dust

Nope I've Used a house fan and took the cover off of my computer and blew into it and it didnt work but i forgot to say something earlier in my post and that is when i have music playing or anything else that produces sound, when the freeze occurs those sounds stop and when they do so it sounds kinda like a broken record =/

broken codecs!

download-install www.gomplayer.com

and play the audio with that.. if there is no problem with your system but
with a codec

Just in case you haven't checked the Event Viewer for any errors /
information corresponding to the "time of freeze", click Start, Control
Panel, Administrative Tools, and Event Viewer.
