XP error Need Info

I have XP media edition on my 2 month old computer. 2 gig of ram dual
core processor. I allowed a windows update KB905474 to be installed
on the computer. After installing and rebooting, I get the
following error

RTHDCPL.EXE - Illegal System DLL Relcation

The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application
will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL
C:\WINDOWS\system32\HHCTRL.OCX occupied an address range reserved for
Windows System DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted
for a new DLL.

If I click on ok and continue... everything seems to work. Then when I
reboot, I continue to get the error message.

If I use System Restore to an earlier time, there are no errors on
reboot, but in a few minutes, I get the message that an automatic
update is being installed... ( the same culprit) and I'm back to the
error message.

Likewise, If I use the remove programs section in the Control Panel,
check the box saying show updates and then remove the KB905474
culprit, it will keep asking me to install the update.

Where do I go from here?????????

I'd start by going on the Windows Update site and using Admin options to
ignore that update.

You might want to download and run the hotfix available from
Microsoft after you install the updates.

The Realtek HD Audio Control Panel may not start, and you
receive an error message when you start the computer: "Illegal
System DLL Relocation"
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/935448/

Good luck
