I am asking for an example of customized hardware platform where xp embedeed
can be installed. (e.g. xscale270 @ 533MHz with 128MBRAM + 64 FLASH + eth).
Or they can be run only on x86 platforms?

Hello Thomas

Windows XP Embedded is based on the same binaries
as Xp Professional. So only x86 architecture.
If you want to run a XScale platform,
you have to use Windows CE.

i.E. the XScale Colibri board from www.toradex.com comes
already with a running Windows CE Image in the flash.
(With all your requested peripherials)
And that somewhere around 100 USD.....

Check it out.

(btw., Win CE support x86, ARM, MIPS32 and SH4 architecture)
