XP Embedded licensing

Chris

If we buy XP Pro licenses then can they be upgraded to XP
Embedded at no cost? (I've looked thru' all the online
licensing docs but can't find an answer.)

Is it possible to bypass the XP Embedded license resellers
and buy them directly from Microsoft (if the quantity was
large enough)?

NO.

But why do you want to do that.
XPe licenses are much cheaper than XP Pro licenses.

Also in your opinion what qualify as large quantity?

Maybe you should consider becoming registered distributor ;)

Slobodan

Chris,

And don't forget that you will unlikely be able to use XP Embedded devices
the same way you use XP Pro machines (e.g., legally you cannot run Office
apps on XPe).
