License switch: Windows XP Professional to Windows XP Embedded

Due to reorganization we have about 500 Windows XP Professional licenses that
are no longer in use; on the other hand we need 300 Windows XP Embedded
licenses. Is it possible to use the XP Pro licenses instead?

Is there an official procedure to switch the existing XP Pro licenses to XP
Embedded?

Hi Olaf,

No, you cannot use XP pro license in place of an XPE license... I know it
sounds weird, as the XPP license costs more, but they are different buckets
at Microsoft. one does not allow switch to the other. Sorry :-(
