XP Desktop

I have just installed the XP upgrade on a Win Me system.
The labels on the desktop icons are still shown in boxes
ith the blue background color instead of blending with
the desktop as is supposed to happen in XP. How do I fix
this?
 
Right click the Desktop, select Properties, Desktop, Customize Desktop, Web
tab. Uncheck any web content. The the Use drop shadows......... setting
will work.
