Hi im having this silly problem of my desktop icon's name displaying the
background color instead of the usual wall paper. Usually on a standard
windows XP theme, you get this background with a big field and blue sky
right? and the icons have names and the names do not have a background. but
my icons have a blue color background. ive been fiddeling through the
settings my right clicking on the desktop and been shifting through the
control panel with no success. can someone please help me? thanks alot!

Erm, my question is, how do i 'turn off' that background color so the names
of the icons do not display that background color?

1.Remove all Active desktop items :
.... Right click Desktop
.... Properties
.... Desktop tab
.... Customize desktop button
.... Web tab
.... Uncheck all items and click OK

2. Uncheck Lock icons
.... Right click Desktop
.... Point to Arrange icons by
.... Uncheck "Lock web items"

3. Use Drop shadows for icons
.... Click Start
.... Click Run
.... Type sysdm.cpl ,3
.... Click Enter
.... Click the first "Settings" button
.... Scroll down and tick "Use drop shadows for icon labels...."
