Hi, I can set a jpg as my desktop but when I log out and log in again no
image is displayed on the desktop, although "preview" still shows the
selected image.

I have a roaming profile but i'm logging into and out of the same pc.

Bitmaps work fine. Problem also occurs with gifs.

any suggestions welcome
thanks simon

Wesley, you seem to have misunderstood: jpgs and gifs show up fine in display
properties: I can set a jpg as my desktop and this works fine.

The problem when I log out and log back in again no image is shown on the
desktop although the setting is retained and the image is still shown in
desktop preview.

thanks for reply
