Wallpaper .JPG files not in desktop list

For a while after XP installation, .JPG files in WINDOWS\Web\Wallpaper will show
on the background list accessed by right clicking on the desktop and selecting
Properties > Desktop tab. But after a little while, only .BMP files in the
WINDOWS folder will be listed. Why? Is there any way to keep .JPG files in the
list? Of course, I can browse for them, but being able to select from the list
is easier.

Try clearing out your TIF folder and your Temp folders after a re-boot.

Workaround: Place the JPG files in one of the following locations:

%Systemroot%\Web\Wallpaper
%USERPROFILE%\My Documents\My Pictures
%AppData%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
%ProgramFiles%\Plus!\Themes

Thanks, but .JPG files in those folders are NOT listed. Only .BMP files in the
WINDOWS folder are listed. Sorry if I wasn't clear enough on that.
