I recently tried to reinstall Windows XP Professional but
it came up with an error message during the setup
procedure. When I rebooted, I was given the option to
start Windows XP normally or to run XP setup. The default
option is for it top run setup, but it then comes up with
the same error message again and asks me to restart again.
If I choose to start XP normally, then it loads XP and
everything works fine. So my question is, how do I remove
the (currently defaulted) option to run XP setup? I did a
quick browse of this group and found the following
possible solution:
"Go to Start > Run and type in: MSCONFIG , and hit enter,
Click the BOOT.INI tab.
Next, click "Check All Boot Paths".
This procedure should correct your BOOT.INI file."
Would this solve my problem, and if not, what is the best
solution?
Thanks
