2 boot options/default crashes

I'm building a 2nd computer. I started to install XP on a new hardrive
attached to the 1st computer then thought better of it and decided to do it
all from the 2nd machine. However now on my 1st computer I get two options a
bootup. The first is to boot the original XP installation and the 2nd AND
DEFAULT option is to boot and continue with the XP Setup. This leads to the
blue screen of death because the Setup is the default option and doesn't see
my RAID. How/where do I edit out the second option that boots to setup
automatically so that I don't get this boot menu with two options. I can't
turn on my computer and walk away because it will boot to the second option
which results in a crash.

You need to remove the problem entry from your boot.ini file.

See if this helps.
Go to Start -> Run and enter msconfig in the Open box.
Click OK.
Note: If you don't have run on your Start menu hitting the
Windows + R keys will launch the Run box.
In the System Configuration Utility, click on the Boot.ini tab.
On the Boot.ini page, hit the "Check all boot paths".
You should be able to delete the entry for XP setup.
Click OK and restart your computer.

icon.
In System properties, click on the Advanced tab.
On the Advanced page, hit the Setting button in the Startup and
Recovery section.
In Startup and Recovery, change the entry in the box under
"Default operating system" from XP setup to your working XP
installation.
Change the entry next to "Time to display operating systems" to
0.
Click OK twice and restart your computer.
