Xp crashed

Windows xp pro reboots everutime and does not give me
enough time to see the error. when i try to do a repair
from the cd i doensnt see a previous installation of
windows xp What can I do??
 
What happened to the machine previous to this? Was new hardware/software
added to the machine?
