XP in an endless crash loop when started from CD

My XP started crashing during startup rebooting the system. I can run in safe
mode and tried to repair my XP by CD. Now the setup runs to about 75% of
installation of files, then the computer reboots and the whole process begins
again. I am now in an endless loop where XP will not allow me to do anything
except watch it try to reinstall itself over and over. Any suggestions before
I delete my hard drive?

Hello. mine is the previous post. Similar problem, went up to 100% now have
an internal configuration problem, and still gets very hot and crash. Meaning
I cannot start windows. If you solve yours, please let me know.

I tried making some changes in my Bios but can't seem to get the system out
of setup mode from CD. Guess it's time for a clean sweep of the hard drive.
I'm pretty sure I got a virus.
