When I try to start my computer after it crashed, the
splash screen comes on, but it imediately goes to a blue
screen that says "Sorry for the inconvience but.." Any
choice I make (normal, safe mode. etc.) takes me back to
the same two screens. It's an HP with XP Home
preinstalled and it didn't come with any recovery disks.
HELP!

If you purchased a system that was pre-installed then the manufacturer is
required to either give you an XP cd, a restore CD or provide a hidden
partition with an image to restore your system to factory defaults. I think
they should be required to give you CD to do this no if-and-or-buts about
it, but...

Check with your user manual to determin if there is a hidden partition, and
if so, how to get to it.

Ron,

Does the bluescreen stay long enough for you to see its information? Just
curious, have you tried to perform a Last Known Good boot or to boot from
Safe Mode?

Best regards,
