XP and CDROM players

Hello, I have a problem concerning my CD-ROM player.When I put a CD into the player and I remove it changing CD, browsing the new disc just inserted I read the contents of the previous disc !
If I open and then close the CD bay nothing changes.The only way I have to read the new contents is to reboot the computer.
Is there a way to avoid this annoying problem? Is it something related with the CD-ROM cache?
My system is equipped with a Pentium III 600EB, motherboard with VIA chipset and CD-ROM player 50X.

DCC

When you eject a CD: Open my computer and right click on your CD-RW drive
and click Eject
See if that helps.
