I have a PC with XP Pro installed. The software says that it is activated but
when I go to Windows update it says the software is Pirated. I was able to
install SP2 and the EULA updates. I have a multi-user liscense and have not
exceeeded my number. How do I fix this problem so I can get my windows
updates.

Thank you Beverly

Windows XP Professional is not available in a
"multi-user" license unless you purchase a
Volume License version and acquire a license
for each installation. VL licensing is usually
only available to business entities and not individuals
since you cannot purchase less than five (5) VL
licenses at a time.

From whom did you acquire your Windows XP
license from?

You need to contact the supplier of your multi-user license and ask
them to check out the source of your problems. Some multi-user
product keys have been "leaked" and are being widely used with pirated
versions. It appears that your product key has made into onto the
list of these keys.

Good luck

I have a2 computer setup at my home and upgraded one to XP from 98se, Can I
also upgrade my other one? It is running 98se also (a second bought copy)
THe other computer only is used for drive space since my main computer is
maxed out on storage space.

Thx Todkahdohs

You cannot use the same upgrade license (Product Key) to upgrade the
second computer.

The second computer running Windows 98 should network just fine with
your Windows XP machine so there is no real need to upgrade it to XP,
at least not from what you have said.

Good luck
