SP2 Activation

i hava a laptop pre instaled with xp pro 2600.2180
now i updated it with sp2 and what happens is ... when starting a message
appear telling i have 5 days to activate my windows, i say yes to activate ,
and a box appears saying xp already activated but if i reboot does it all
over again
how do i fix this without reinstalling everything

Possible Resolution:

Boot into Safe Mode.

Then go to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 regwizc.dll , and hit enter.
Then go again to Start > Run and type: regsvr32 licdll.dll , and hit enter again.

Apparently, and I can't say how, the above files became unregistered.
