WZC with a Netgear WG311T adapter and WEP encryption

Hi,

I'm using WZC with a Netgear WG311T adapter and WEP encryption. All
works fine except when I reboot. I have to re-enter the Network Key
for the WEP encryption under properties for Preferred Networks. Any
ideas why it doesn't store the key. When I open the properties there
are the "dots" in the Network Key text box and the Confirm Network Key
text box, but I still need to re-enter. I'm using the latest drivers
and XP updates.

Thanks
Dave

Hi Jack, Thanks for the reply...

Yes, I'm using the hex string. I should have made that more clear.
Do you know where this string is saved, could the file be corrupted or
something?

Hi
The dots means that there is a key stored it is a security feature so that
others can not read the key.
Log to Netgear site get the most recent drivers and reinstall the card.
If you use WZC make sure that the Netgear Wireless utility is not running as
well.
Jack (MVP-Networking).
