WEP Authentication for Wireless LAN

Z

Zsmop

A while a go I set up a wireless LAN with a WG311V2 Netgear PCI wireless
card connecting to a Netgear WGR614 router and used WEP encryption, all
worked OK. I then after about 6 month I decided to change to WPA encryption
and had issues where on bootup it would not connect some times.

I have now fallen back to the WEP setup and can get it to connect only after
selecting repeated repair options. Once it connects it stays up but when I
boot up the next time the connection won't establish again. If I turn
encryption off I don't have any issues.

I'm using the Windows Networking to configure the WEP and keys etc.

Does any body have any ideas

Hi Garry,

I have, I believe, seen this sort of issue discussed in the DSLR Netgear forum.
