I have a problem using Windows Update. I saw there was a
notice to update Windows XP with a new security patch.
When I clicked the link (via the Windows XP website on
Microsoft.com), I was taken to Windowsupdate. Usually I
can find the updates there. But in this case, it only
shows one critical update/security update, which is
wrong. Namely: NVIDIA display driver. I don't need that
one as I already use the most recent Detonator drivers.
But this is the ONLY update shown now. How can I solve
this? TIA!

The current top story at http://microsoft.com/windowsxp points to the
end-user security bulletin MS03-026
(http://microsoft.com/security/security_bulletins/ms03-026.asp), so I assume
that's what you're talking about. The patch for the vulnerability described
in that bulletin is 823980, which has been available for two weeks. You may
already have that patch installed.

If you want to verify that the 823980 patch has been installed, please the
"Additional information about this patch" section of the IT security
bulletin here:

Thank you very much, Jonathan... This indeed solved all my problems/answered
all of my questions! :-) I appreciate your answer very much.
