Wrong idetification of IE6

My internet explorer 6 SP1 indentify itself as netscape
at all web sites, so I can't have a full service, which I
need and want. Windows update won't work beacuse of that
as well. Big problem.
 
Repair IE

Add/Remove Programs/MS/IE repair....

This may help.
Determining Which Version of Internet Explorer You Are Using
All versions of Internet Explorer 5 that are customized with Microsoft
Internet Explorer Administration Kit (IEAK) include one of the following
strings after the version number when you click About on the Help menu:
IC = Internet Content Provider
IS = Internet Service Provider
CO = Corporate Administrator
