I have windowsxp. If I have done all the updates when I
was notified. Have I done this free patch to prevent
LovSan or what should I do now? Thanks!

If you have all the updates, you have the patch.
To check:
Start/All Programs/Windows Update.
Click "View Installation History"
Do you see 823980?
