my ISP has recommended hat I download and install the
latest patch from Microsft's site to protext my computer
from the Blast.exe virus or LovSan Web Worm. However,
when I get to the "Patch Availability" section on
Microsoft's download site, I am prompted to select from
the following (I have windows xp professional): Windows
XP 32bit Edition, or Window XP 63bit Edition. How do I
know which edition I have?

Thanks in advance....

You have the 32-bit version of Windows XP. The 64-bit version is
only commercially available for very expensive, high-end Itanium processors.

64-bit machines are so expensive (in the neighborhood of $15,000 running an
Itanium processor), that if you are not sure -- then you have 32-bit.
