Worksheet Fornats Don't Copy

Worksheets created in Excel 2002 XP copy as expected. My
problem is: I invested much labor in developing workbooks
in Excel for the MAC over years. I used MacLink Plus to
convert them to Windows XP format and they went over OK
with only a few minor alterations needed despite being
heavily formatted. Everything worked fine until I tried
to copy a worksheet. The formats from converted files
won't copy when "Move or Copy Sheet" function is used.
Only the data copies. I've searched knowledge bases at MS
and DataViz and can't find anything relevant. Anyone's
assistance would be most appreciated.
 
Can you copy the sheet, then use the Format Painter to copy the formats
from the original sheet to the copy?
