working remotely with XP Pro

Two machines running XP Pro which log onto a domain. Both of these machines have admin rights. I cannot get remote desktop to work. I went into gpedit.msc and gave them permissions under Remote Control. I'm still having trouble. Please, anyone I need help and cannot seem to get this to work.

I don't know if this matters, but even XP Pro machines that I've delt with that are not on a domain, it seem that I'm always having trouble with XP Remote Desktop.

Is a firewall up on the machine(s) you are trying to connect to that's
blocking tcp port 3389?

Describe in more detail what is happening...

Are you connecting?

If so, what type of error are you getting?
