Workgroup no longer accessible from Network Neighborhood

I have a peer-to-peer Windows wireless network; desktop is
the gateway w/Windows 2000 Professional. Notebook is
windows 98. Not sure exactly when this problem occurred
(maybe after installing SP4), but I can no longer see the
W2000 computer in the workgroup on either the W98
notebook's Network Neighborhood or the W2000 My Network
Places. I did try to update the drivers for my Network
Adapter cards, but both are apparently up-to-date.

So I can access the shared Internet Connection from the
notebook, and the shared printer that is connected to the
desktop is still accesible from the W98 laptop.

From the W2000 workstation, I can access two (but not all
three??) shared directories on the W98 notebook.

Using FIND on the Windows 98 machine, I can access the
Windows 2000 desktop and the shared folders! So
everything appears to be working okay except for the fact
that the workgroup w/the Windows 2000 shared folders
doesn't display in Network Neighborhood (W98) or the My
Network Places (W2000) PC.

Also noticed the following errors in event viewer:

(from DHCP)
Your computer was not able to renew its address from the
network (from the DHCP Server) for the Network Card with
network address 0003471297EA. The following error
occured:
The semaphore timeout period has expired. . Your computer
will continue to try and obtain an address on its own from
the network address (DHCP) server.

(from RemoteAccess)
Unable to contact a DHCP server. The Automatic Private IP
Address 169.254.202.221 will be assigned to dial-in
clients. Clients may be unable to access resources on the
network.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm not sure. If you can, just assign everything statically, or release and
renew for the IP addresses.

Make sure that everyone is in the same workgroup and the workgroup name is
the same case wise. i.e. all lower case.
