Word2003 - Underline disable problem

Im unable to disable the underline which is enable default when i open
Word2003. If i type anything in outlook and send to receipents, they all
receive with underline.
I tried of uninstalling the s/w also but it doesn't work. Some settings
problem is there. I require a help from u all.
 
Is underline set in the Format | Font dialogue box under Underline style?
