mysterious underlined e-mail text

Outlook e-mail recipients do receive my e-mails, but all of the text is
underlined when I've not sent it as underlined and it hasn't appeared
underlined when I typed it.

I've tried to "clear formatting" ("format" menu, "styles and formatting"
selection) but that hasn't worked. I still send a 'not underlined e-mail'
and my recipient receives an 'entirely underlined e-mail'.

Please help!

Have you tried setting the format to text, rather than HTML or rich text.
