I am writing a novel and would like a template to use. Similiar to the thesis
template that is available, but one for a novel.

Adobe has superior software for a serious writer --- Illustrator, Pagemaker
to name 2 ... would be worth investment (I think) especially if
self-publishing is your goal.

If your writing efforts are going to be serious I'd consider a robust
platform like Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Pagemaker --- they'd be worth the
investment ... most especially if you'll be self-publishing.

Not for a novel. If you are writing something with a lot of graphics, a
program like Adobe's InDesign or PageMaker or Quark Xpress would be
appropriate--not Illustrator, unless I missed something big in my brief
exploration of it.

But for lots of text, I'd go with Word. Any publisher will know how to
handle Word files.

To Ceira, also see here:

And you might as well design your own template, inspired by books you
like--see here:

Hi, I have just discovered this chat group. I also am looking for a template
for a novel. I wonder if you have had any replies?
