Is word compatible with ACT v11

I am using ACT V11. Under ACT templets this is what they state:
ACT! includes default document templates for writing a letter, memo, fax
cover page, direct marketing letter, negotiation follow-up, and so on. The
templates are available in ACT! Word Processor (TPL) and Microsoft Word (ADT)
formats. You access the default e-mail, letter, memo, and fax cover page
templates from the Write menu.

Hi Dave,

You didn't mention the version of Word you're using, but usually Act!
versions, that use an Add-in to link to MS Word, are fairly specific on the
versions of Word that the Act! version can work with. You may want to check
the Knowledge Base and Act! forums at http://act.com for specifics on your
Word version with Act! 11.

My Act v11 is on a vista operating system. I am using Microsoft office 2007.
I can't get the templates that use word and excel to operate properly. For
instance the quote template has an excel spreadsheet built into the word
document. I can go in and change the pricing on the excel portion only once.
Going in again I get an error message that it can't find word. Spoke to ACT
and they said that excel is not closing properly when the document closes so
there is a compatability problem. Can anyone help me make this work.
